Currently I have an opening for an Occupational Health Nurse located in Waltham, MA. Details for the position are as follows:
The Occupational Health Nurse will provide critical clinical support to the R&D and Manufacturing operations at assigned sites. Individual will deliver the occupational health services needed to meet or exceed regulatory compliance and company guidelines. The right candidate will be instrumental in implementing and delivering occupational health programs to employees to achieve a healthy and safe work environment.
- Workers Compensation injury and illness evaluation (within scope of practice), treatment, and case management for assigned sites.
- Clinical services at Occupational Health Center(s) at assigned sites (within scope of practice).
- Deliver, as appropriate, all medical surveillance programs in compliance with Federal requirements and Company guidelines, including but not limited to: Laboratory Animal Allergy, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Powered Industrial Vehicle, Reproductive Risk Assessment, DOT, Hazmat, and any other surveillances needed based on risk assessments.
- Maintain all medical information per OH, legal, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines.
- Work closely with HSE on Industrial Hygiene data interpretation as related to surveillance/PPE; medical recommendations in work risk assessments; work-related injuries and illnesses prevention; accommodations and return to work.
- Work with site managers and HR regarding work accommodations, return to work, EAP, fit for duty evaluations, ADA issues, etc.
- Manage the MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) to include ongoing training activities, Hepatitis B immunizations, and AEDs for assigned sites.
RN or BSN with Massachusetts state licensure and experience in occupational health.
Technical Information:
- Part-time: 24 hours per week (3 days within M-F from 8am-4:30pm).
- Pay: $60-67 hourly, depending on experience level.
- 12-month contract with potential for extension.
