Solution Architect - API & Cloud (Banking)

A leading bank is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Solution Architect to join the experience and communications team in London. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead, direct, and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment, driving efforts to create, build, support, and improve software alongside product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams
• Contribute to ensuring good quality and engineering practices are followed
• Support and improve existing software
• Learn new skills in varying circumstances

Key Skills:

• Strong experience of solution design, security & resilience patterns
• Knowledge of microservices, containerisation, cloud native and event-driven design concepts
• Understanding of API standards, security and gateway patterns
• Knowledge of data technologies – SQL/NoSQL, Big Data
• Experience with cloud architecture, particularly GCP
