Due to strategic growth, we are expanding our team and are seeking a Head of Sales to oversee the daily operations at our Manchester office. As Head of Sales at our Manchester office, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales team in a fast-paced environment. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the sales process, including car finance brokerage and retail car sales. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in car finance, a deep understanding of the brokerage industry, and a proven track record of managing large teams to achieve sales targets. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a sales floor to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Develop and maintain a positive and motivating work environment that encourages high performance and accountability. Implement and monitor sales strategies to increase profitability and unit output. Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes in both car finance brokerage and retail sales. Analyse sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, and take appropriate actions. Manage the performance of our Sales Managers, providing motivation, guidance, and support to help them achieve their goals and drive the success of their teams. Report on sales performance to senior management, including analysis of sales metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement. Communicate company goals, sales targets, and performance expectations to the sales team clearly and effectively. Contribute to the development of long-term sales strategies in line with company growth objectives with the Senior Management team. Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies, particularly in relation to car finance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Sales management role within the car finance and/or automotive industry. Proven experience in managing large sales teams in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent understanding of car finance products, processes, and regulations. Strategic thinking with the ability to implement and execute sales strategies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making. Benefits Lunch on Hippo when passing probation. Departmental incentives.
