Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician Hays are working with a large maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced maintenance electrician to carry out electrical maintenance in the West Lothian area. The contractor manages a large number of council properties in the area and is looking to add to their maintenance team.
Your new roleYou will work alongside other electricians as well as other maintenance tradespeople. You will also be required to work with members of the public when working on residential council properties.
Main responsibilities:

  • Routine inspections and repairs of electrical systems and appliances
  • Install, repair and replace wiring, fixtures and appliances
  • Troubleshoot for potential issues with electrical systems and locate causes of system malfunctions
  • Ensure all electrical systems are compliant with local building and safety codes
  • Maintain records of inspections, repairs and other maintenance activities
  • What you’ll need to succeed Candidates must be qualified electricians with a valid ECS card and ideally with experience in a maintenance environment. However, we are also happy to recruit qualified electricians with other backgrounds (site/industrial work). You will also need a valid UK Driving licence.
    What you’ll get in returnYou will be paid weekly with regular updates from your Hays consultant. We will pay you PAYE with no additional costs and the option of paid annual leave.
