Bennett and Game are delighted to be partnering a local accountancy practice near Keighley as they recruit for a Senior Accountant, to join their growing team. Offering circa £35,000-£45,000, 23 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays, company pension, on-site parking, and more.

Senior Accountant Job Overview- Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records, including statutory, year-end accounts, and management accounts.
- Company and personal tax return preparation (personal tax experience not essential).
- Managing a portfolio of clients, liaising with them on all accounting matters, and maintaining excellent relationships.
- VAT returns/Bookkeeping assistance where required during busy periods.
- Other ad-hoc projects as they arise.
- ACA or ACCA qualified. Will consider QBE but must have a minimum of 3 years practice experience.
- A minimum of 3 years recent experience within a UK based, qualified firm of accountants is desirable.
- Management accounts experience desirable.
- Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships, including LLPs.
- Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard.
- Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- Competitive salary range, £35,000-£45,000 but can be negotiable on experience.
