General Summary
Bonnier Books UK is looking for a designer/senior designer to join its award-winning design team, creating high impact covers across its growing adult lists.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute designer, looking to make their mark. You will have a particularly strong track record in commercial and reading group fiction, as you will be focusing on the cover design for the company’s adult trade division – comprising imprints Blink, Manilla Press, Ithaka, Zaffre, Eriu, and Black & White. There will also be an opportunity to work across other genres.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in trade publishing, with solid experience in commercial cover design. They will be a clear and confident communicator, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the editorial, sales and production teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing high impact covers to brief, and across a broad range of lists and genres, focusing initially on commercial and reading group fiction
- Commercially astute with a keen interest in market trends and prepared to break the mould and push boundaries with designs
- Liaising with the creative studio manager and other departments including editorial, production, and sales to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
- Ensuring cover artwork is press ready and supplied according to printer specification
- Presenting your own covers with confidence
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a design role in publishing, ideally with experience designing covers for commercial/reading group fiction
- A positive team player with a pro-active approach
- A clear communicator, capable of working effectively with various teams and functions across the business
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud
