Key Responsibilities
- Control all production scrap & downtime; record the information on IQMS.
- Maintain plant equipment and machinery to a high standard using planned maintenance programs and relevant systems.
- Complete all press set-ups in the required time scale, using the setting sheets provided.
- Carry out first-off quality checks before production produces parts for order. Report any tooling issues when completing press set-ups and during production runs.
- Monitor all weights, react to changing trends, to maximise efficiency.
- Provide constant service to the production line, checking quality of parts by completing line inspections and supporting the shift leader.
- Monitor IQMS closely and ensure all machines are running at least on cycle or up to 5 seconds quicker, to ensure the production plan is maintained.
- Keep scrap below 0.9% on your shift.
- Control all tank cleaning and WIP stock.
- Complete all relevant checks, Steam leak reports, machine condition, 5s and any others checks required.
- Complete repairs to all plant equipment in the quickest and safest manner. Contact Technical support roles or the recommended contractor when you can't complete a repair.
- Fault find process issues efficiently, ensuring the root cause is always found and reported or addressed.
- Carry out a daily line audit, monitor procedures, fitting standards, and ensure that fits are completed on time, in full and at good quality standards. Complete improvement projects, presenting them professionally, tracking any savings.
- Report all issues to the relevant person/department and use the correct systems and paperwork provided.
- Complete any job sheets and provide information to the Production Manager at the end of every shift.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and decision making in all aspects of the role.
- Self-motivation to develop and drive your development, requesting training where applicable.
- Follow all safety procedures in full, ensuring safety is a number one priority.
Working hours
Working a 2 shift rotation of Monday to Friday 6am until 2pm & Monday to Thursday 2pm until 11pm with the Friday hours being 2pm until 6pm.
