Are you an ambitious Paraplanner, seeking to start their journey as an Adviser? Do you want to work with UHNW clients? Are you interested in a firm that has its own DFM team, providing truly bespoke advice?
Due to continued expansion, we have been retained by a prestigious boutique Wealth Planning firm, with an in-house DFM team, to recruit an ambitious Paraplanner, seeking a fast-track route to becoming a Financial Planner. Joining the business as a Paraplanner, you will be working closely with the Advisors and attending meetings, where you will be introduced to new and existing clients, enabling you to start building relationships with them to understand the key skills required to become a high calibre Financial Planner. The business works collaboratively as a team and this role offers full support and guidance to ensure you become a trusted Financial Planner, capable of attending client meetings to secure new clients, as well as managing clients that are handed to you.
Responsibilities
- Assist Financial Advisers in managing clients' planning needs and solutions, including assessing and researching options and solutions.
- Be an additional point of contact when the Advisers are not available and develop relationships of trust with the clients, managing all client-related enquiries in a timely manner.
- Attend client meetings with the Financial Planners.
- Draft and present detailed financial reports, including suitability letters, transfer recommendations, and product illustrations.
- Deal with insurance/investment companies, as required, to obtain client policy information or new illustrations and product information.
Knowledge
- 2+ years post qualified relevant experience.
- Strong all round technical knowledge of financial planning principles, investment products, pension transfers and taxation and client suitability.
- Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance related to financial advice.
- Proficiency in drafting and presenting detailed financial reports.
- Maintain and update your knowledge through continual professional development (CPD) and examinations, where suitable.
Qualifications
- A University degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or CISI Investment Advice Diploma.
- Adhere to the T&C scheme to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities and proficiency at multitasking.
- Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse financial data and provide insights.
- Meticulous when it comes to attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Professional, presentable and motivated self-starter.
