Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our retail team, providing support with accounting and finance duties in our vibrant, inclusive environment.

Description

This role is 5 days in the office.

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
2. Provide support in budgeting and forecasting.
3. Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting.
4. Assist with year-end audit preparation.
5. Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
6. Liaise with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
8. Support in other ad hoc finance projects as required.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

1. Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
2. Part-qualified or studying towards an ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
3. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
4. Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Willingness to develop within the retail industry.
