We are recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer to enhance procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the industrial/manufacturing sector, with a focus on supporting suppliers to improve their performance, quality and reliability.

Description:

  • Identifying potential suppliers and conducting evaluations to assess their capabilities.
  • Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Addressing and resolving any supplier-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Reporting on supplier performance metrics to management.
  • Assessing risk to Supply Chain, maintaining contingency plans for critical suppliers.

Profile: A successful Supplier Development Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering or other relevant subject.
  • Knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing sector and its supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in supplier evaluation and development techniques.
  • Proven experience in problem solving/root cause analysis (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
