The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 ÂŁ per year.

To build, develop and enhance Checkatrade memberships by delivering values led sales, in order to grow members’ businesses and contribute to Checkatrade’s revenue. Initiate discussions with members to up-sell and cross-sell, by maximising all selling opportunities, striving to deliver and achieve all KPIs and business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare calls to Checkatrade members, by using the Web Office to identify potential sales opportunities for all additional products, including directories, postcodes and trade categories.
  • Upgrade existing members into directories, trade categories and postcodes, following a consultative conversation around how Checkatrade can support their business needs.
  • Maximise all opportunities to sell multiple products.
  • Contribute to the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Ownership of Checkatrade Sales Quarter process, responsible for the day to day management of each quarterly campaign, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ownership of directory growth, ensuring individual revenue targets are achieved.
  • Contact members regarding their directory renewal using email, phone and text, to ensure timely, personal and professional interaction.
  • Action requests to call members back and develop appropriate rapport.
  • Secure directory renewals, by advising members of key features and benefits as appropriate.
  • Liaise with Finance, Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure swift and effective renewal process.
  • When necessary, use skills, knowledge and opportunity to actively encourage and inform members about the merits of membership, overcome any objections and help resolve their problems.
  • Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge about product, pricing, benefits of membership and how to optimise member engagement.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours outside of core 9am to 5pm to maximise opportunity to contact members.
  • Work collaboratively with the MA, Artwork and Finance teams to ensure consistent approach to members and helping to resolve issues which arise.
  • Maintain an accurate and comprehensive record of individual work and interactions with members on the Web Office, via case notes, and record on databases and spreadsheets, where required.
  • Make a positive contribution to team meetings and team working relationships.
  • Uphold the team ethic by sponsoring newcomers and sharing expertise with colleagues.
  • Support business change (including to this role) and management initiatives.

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to explain and influence people clearly and concisely.
  • Be both positive and proactive and eager to learn and progress; to ensure the success of your team and our business, you will be a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and will have a friendly demeanour while still able to push hard to achieve targets and timelines.
  • Strong IT and admin skills to keep records accurate and up to date.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and thrives in a team environment.
  • Good under pressure - you will be proactive and able to manage numerous tasks while ensuring that operational needs and departmental goals are achieved daily.
  • Excellent communication skills / patience to listen and learn the problems and then seek to offer solutions.
  • You will be engaged to work towards team and personal targets which are reviewed monthly.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and be proactive in your approach to changes, this may be to either process or departmental initiatives which may affect your daily tasks or workload.
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Minimum of 4 GCSE, Grade C or above in English and Maths.
