We are looking for a talented lawyer who would thrive on developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions, and helping shape the face of our Amazon Advertising business. Amazon Advertising offers a rich array of advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers find and discover anything they want to buy. Lawyers are trusted members of the business, and you will work directly with advertising product and privacy teams to help launch and improve how our advertising products and services work. You will advise on a broad range of consumer protection, data protection and privacy, and marketing matters. You will work directly with sales and business development teams to structure, draft, and negotiate commercial transactions with our enterprise customers. You will also handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
We are looking for candidates who are creative, enthusiastic about technology, extremely hands-on, capable of working independently, and highly customer-obsessed professionals. Experience in advertising or privacy is not required but is preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- Significant post-qualification legal experience gathered in-house or in private practice, with a minimum of 5+ years post qualification experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal English language skills.
- Sound and practical judgment, even in ambiguous situations, and comfortable making high-quality decisions quickly and with limited information.
- Ability to work independently and contribute successfully to cross-functional, global team.
- Product, privacy and regulatory experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
- Transactional experience (drafting and negotiation), gained at a law firm or in-house at a multinational corporation.
