The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Weinig Wood Machinist for our client based in Astley, M29.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate all machinery on the line, notably having the ability to set a Weinig moulder.
- Part of the team that is expected to achieve a specific Line output target.
- Ability to contribute to the changeovers on the line.
- Understand the quality levels expected and ensure the product being produced meets these levels.
- Cover the duties of the team leader in their absence (with pay increase for shifts covered).
- Ensure they work safely and understand the risk assessments associated with the tasks they undertake on the line.
- Highlight any potential hazards / unsafe working to management.
- Work as part of the team on housekeeping and future 5s.
- Good timekeeping & attendance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience working in a factory environment.
- Previous experience running production lines.
- Previous experience setting a Weinig moulder or similar machine.
- Previous experience working with MDF mouldings.
There are 2 shift patterns available:
- 5am-3pm 4 days a week between Monday - Friday.
- 3pm-1am 4 days a week between Monday - Friday.
The pay rate for the early shift varies between £13.11 and £16.84 per hour depending on experience (£25,905 - £33,276 per annum).
The PM shift also includes an additional £20 per day shift allowance, so the pay rate for this shift will be between £15.22 and £18.95 depending on experience (£30,074 - £37,445 per annum).
