If so, then please read on The basics: Job title: Sheet Metal Worker Location: Ilkeston Industry: Precision engineering Pay: up to £17.25 per hour DOE + overtime = earnings of £37000 and upwards achievable. Overtime: paid at 1.5 Mon-Sat and Double on Sundays Hours: 39hrs – Mon-Thurs start time between 7am and 8am and finish time between 4pm and 5pm. Fridays finish at 12:00. Holidays and Benefits: Death in Service Benefit – 2 x annual salary, Pension 5% and 3% by employer, Holidays are 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Key responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Worker: • Includes bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburr, stretching and inspecting all to tight tolerances • Working to drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. • Setting and operating machinery supplied for the manufacture of sheet metal components. The ideal candidate / Sheet metal worker may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually: • Time Served Apprenticeship • Previous experience working with thin gauge sheet metal Commutable from: Derby, Long Eaton, Burton, Ilkeston, Nottingham, Heanor and surrounding areas.
