Published Description: Sewing Machinist Location: Near Gerrard’s Cross Salary: Base of £30-31k + Overtime rate £24 per hour ! Overtime: 1 hour a day available – yearly earning doing 1 hour overtime per day can be circa £36-37k! Benefits: 1.5x overtime daily, on-site parking, 25 days holiday + BH, yearly bonus inclusive of overtime Working Hours: 37-hour week Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our clients sewing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, cutting, and stitching all fabric and webbing parts required for aerospace assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Component Creation: Make components using the appropriate fabrics from standard templates, patterns, and instructions from drawings, including making first off pieces. Part Marking: Part mark components and label using ink pad and rubber stamps. Pattern Cutting: Cut patterns/templates from drawing prints and use templates to cut fabric pieces prior to sewing, working on industrial sewing machines and overlockers.
