The Role
We are seeking an experienced manager to lead and manage our IoT provision. This role requires an individual who excels in team leadership, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, innovation, and accountability, along with curriculum development and driving continuous improvements.
About You
You will have proven experience of curriculum management, preferably of HE within an FE environment, be passionate about team development and thrive on supporting and motivating others to achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the curriculum team in the preparation, development and implementation of curriculum, teaching and learning delivery plans for the designated curriculum specialism, in accordance with the strategic plan set for the College.
- Lead on the delivery, development and maintenance of effective timetables for programmes across the IoT, ensuring the optimum use of human resources.
- Monitor all College, team and individual targets as specified by the Director of Curriculum, developing and implementing strategies to assist teaching staff in the achievement of key performance indicators.
- Lead on the quality assurance of teaching and learning for the curriculum across the Institute, assessing and driving quality improvements.
- Ensure all university quality and assessment processes and procedures are accurately followed within university agreed timeframes.
- Working with the Director of Curriculum, lead the business planning process for the designated department.
- Manage all designated staff, taking responsibility for allocation of duties, performance, absence management, and compliance with relevant College policies.
- Lead on the development, design and implementation of an innovative employer-led curriculum in the construction and engineering fields.
All Staff are Required to:
- Complete mandatory annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Travel between sites as required.
- Undertake occasional evening and weekend work.
- Comply with and understand all aspects of legislation and College policies relating to safeguarding.
- Form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
- Comply with, understand and promote statutory and college best practice in Health & Safety.
- Comply with, understand and promote statutory and college best practice in respect of GDPR.
- Actively take responsibility for their personal learning and development.
- Promote, adhere to, understand and put into practice all college policies and procedures.

- Attend and complete all mandatory training sessions.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and/or duties of this role as directed by your manager.
