Residential Building Surveyor – AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS – Home working – Hiring in West London

All areas considered, with particular interest in West London, but please still apply regardless of location within London or surrounding areas.

Established in 2015, my client is a well-respected, friendly team of 20 property professionals committed to delivering quality service to their customers.

They focus on quality over quantity, typically carrying out four to five Level 3 Surveys per week, with one day per week in the office or working from home reserved for report writing.

Offering:

  • Basic salary: £60,000 – £85,000 per annum (agency estimate).
  • Pension contributions (government standard).
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 5 years and 26 days after 7 years.
  • Workplace pension (standard).
  • RICS memberships paid.
  • 45p per mile mileage allowance.
  • Lucrative bonus scheme: 20% of income above threshold per quarter (threshold varies between £20,000 and £30,000). For example, at a threshold of £25,000 and quarterly income of £50,000, the bonus would be £5,000 per quarter, totaling approximately £20,000 annually, paid quarterly on top of basic salary.

  • Average of five surveys per week, generating more than approximately £200,000 in net fees annually.
  • Turnaround times: 2-3 days for Level 2, 4-5 days for Level 3.
  • Technology used includes Go Report for reporting and drones for on-site assistance when required.

  • Potential progression to assisting the department director with referral work, including a bonus scheme.
  • Average survey fees: Level 2 – £750 (no valuation), £980 (with valuation); Level 3 – £1,425.
