Colchester United is a dynamic and exciting Football Club, committed to delivering an outstanding experience to clients, customers, and the local community. We have developed an enviable reputation as one of the leading conference and events venues in the region. Working closely with the Conference & Events Manager, the Event Organiser will be responsible for the production and delivery of Colchester United's events.
The successful applicant will complete a wide range of activities and tasks requiring clear communication, excellent organisation skills and attention to detail. They must work well under pressure, ensuring the smooth and efficient running and delivery of every event. In this role you will be responsible for planning events such as the Football Club's End of Season Dinner and Annual Open Day, our Boxing Dinner, any off-season Concerts, Christmas Events, Private Events & Parties as well as our regular Tribute and Comedy Nights.
Working closely with the Conference & Event Sales Manager as well as various departments to ensure seamless event operations and create memorable experiences for guests. The nature of the role may require the successful applicant to occasionally work long and unsociable hours in the run up to events.
Key Responsibilities:- Researching the competitor market to identify opportunities for new club events
- Producing detailed proposals and plans for events
- Promotion and marketing of club events including social media, composing email marketing and PR campaigns, event listing
- Working with the Event Manager to set and manage event budgets
- Consulting with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
- Coordinating and liaising with the catering team to ensure effective delivery of each event
- Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
- Complete post-event evaluations - including feedback, data entry and analysis and producing reports for management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with particular focus on the finer details

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
