Our trade-facing commercial teams present one of the larger growth opportunities available to the platform and we are looking for high-performing individuals with extensive experience in commercial strategy execution, enterprise GTM, and new acquisitions to increase our trade base in our key categories.
This is an opportunity to grow our trade base across different regions and categories. This role will be focused on new trade acquisitions and require cross-functional collaboration with account management, marketplace operations, and marketplace health to ensure that your categories are growing and performing well!

Role Responsibilities:- Drive revenue growth by acquiring new small, medium, and large trade businesses: Identify high-potential trades, build proposals that address client specific needs, negotiate contract terms and ensure a smooth transition to the onboarding team.
- Market Analysis: Leverage data-driven insights to determine overall market penetration and competitive positioning of Checkatrade to identify new opportunities and gaps in categories.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Account Management, Vetting, Product, and Operations to assess regions and categories that can benefit from our product.
- Product knowledge: Build knowledge across a variety of our products and tailor business cases and proposals accordingly.
- 2+ years of commercial and new sales experience in similar markets or industries.
- Experience in identifying potential new clients, and proposal development, with a proven track record in achieving revenue targets and commercial techniques.
- Strong communication skills to be able to build strong, trusting relationships with trades people and internal teams.
- Capable of managing cross functional responsibilities and initiatives to continuously improve ways of working and contribute ideas to brainstorming sessions with the team.
- Experienced in customer relationship building and communication skills, whether digitally or in-person.
- Tools: Experience using CRM (Salesforce), outreach tools, and AI optimisation tools.
