Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team while optimizing warehouse performance.

Duties:

1. Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes.
2. Implement and maintain warehouse management systems to enhance operational efficiency.
3. Oversee the order picking process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling customer orders.
4. Manage heavy equipment operations, including forklifts and other machinery, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
5. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness and organization.
6. Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices for heavy lifting, mechanical knowledge, and equipment operation.
7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline distribution processes and improve overall productivity.
8. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using systems such as AS400.

Skills:

1. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
2. Experience with warehouse management systems to track inventory and orders effectively.
3. Strong understanding of order picking processes and techniques.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
5. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
6. Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software is preferred.
7. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in managing warehouse distribution tasks.
8. Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational goals.
