You’re driven by a passion for designing experiences that display empathy for end-users and help our clients achieve their business goals. Organising content, developing information architectures, documenting scenarios and use cases, and delivering detailed wireframes and functional specifications is your day-to-day. Most importantly, you produce a variety of design solutions for a given problem and own the execution of key deliverables during the product development process.

You will:

  • Receive high-level direction and develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate design concepts and solutions effectively, and action client and user feedback.
  • Align with internal data departments to inform design decisions, as well as conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams on all the details that make an experience delightful, through the creation and maintenance of design systems or design languages, documentation, and interaction specifications.
  • Manage time effectively and execute according to commitments.
  • Design and own a single work area within a project and client.
  • Focus on growing as a designer, soaking up the art of how to effectively sell design, learning how to use a variety of tools, practices, processes, and where they fit into the workflow.
  • Be able to understand the process of business development and provide support by conducting relevant research and producing pitch materials with guidance from leadership.
  • Contribute to team culture by bringing a positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and openness to learning and feedback.

You have:

  • Strong portfolio of work demonstrating creative thinking, problem solving, process, and quality across user-centred design projects.
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies and experience conducting user research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, client relation skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and usability, an organised working style with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar as well as Keynote, Powerpoint, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity and experience working with WCAG 2.0 A/AA standards would be beneficial but not required.
