Our client has recently invested in a state-of-the-art plant and is now looking for a Waste Manager to unlock its full potential. This site processes road sweepings and gully waste, transforming them into high-quality recycled aggregates and sand products through an innovative end-of-waste process. We’re seeking a dynamic leader with a technical and engineering background who can ensure smooth operations, compliance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee WAMITAB and EA Permit requirements, ensuring full compliance with waste handling, transportation, and disposal legislation. * Keep management informed on new legislation, policies, and industry initiatives. * Develop the business by engaging with existing and potential customers to promote the recycling operation. * Manage planned maintenance, calibration schedules, and production levels to optimize efficiency. What We’re Looking For: * Strong multitasking ability with an overarching view of site operations. * A technical/engineering background to support plant operations. * Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution. * A proactive approach with a commitment to high operational standards. Technical Qualifications: * WAMITAB Level 4 Medium Risk Operator Competence for Non-Hazardous Waste Treatment and Transfer – Essential * CPC Operators Licence – Desirable * Full UK Driving Licence.
