This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leadership professional to take on the newly formed role of Head of Safeguarding, Admissions and Family Engagement. The Senior Leadership team role includes being the Designated Safeguarding Lead, leadership around placement requests and tribunals, as well as overseeing the Family Engagement team. It is based at at Freemantles School for 280 4-19year old students with complex Autism based in Woking, Surrey. Freemantles School also runs an Outreach and Training department with an excellent reputation. Freemantles was judged to be Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted at its last inspection in November 2023 . Freemantles continues to expand. The school has recently opened a new Secondary & FE building and a temporary Satellite site at Ripley. We are looking for an inspiring, motivated and engaging senior leader to share their skills and enhance the learning opportunities on offer for our students. We have a strong and supportive Senior Leadership Team and have a strong track in supporting staff wellbeing and work life balance. We offer a dedicated, friendly, highly trained staff team; a comprehensive induction; extensive training packages and opportunities to further develop leadership and management skills. This position is for a full time (36 hours per week), permanent contract, to start ideally April 2025 or as soon as possible. For a successful candidate holding QTS, we would be offering a contract remunerated under the Teachers’ Pay & Conditions (to include Teachers’ Pension Scheme) with a salary on the Leadership Group Pay Range (L17 to L20), or for a successful candidate that does not hold QTS, a Surrey Support Staff contract (local government pension scheme) on Surrey Pay PS13. The Surrey Support Staff contract includes an annual leave entitlement of 26 days on appointment, increasing to 28 days after 2 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service.
