I am actively recruiting a Children's Home Registered Manager on behalf of my client based in Nottingham to manage a brand new 4 bed property. My client supports young people within their care to develop emotional resilience to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives.

Main purpose of the role:

As the Registered Manager you will hold accountability and overall responsibility for the day to day management of the home to ensure you deliver a high quality level of care, ensuring the home actively promotes the rights of young people as individuals and provides them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of my client's organisation.

You will lead a team of care workers in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance to ensure that good outcomes are achieved for the young person within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional & social development.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • To develop and deliver high quality care in accordance with legislation.
  • Adhere to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety.
  • To ensure the upkeeping of all records relating to the young people.
  • To ensure the provision of management information.
  • To develop and promote new techniques as appropriate.
  • To attend, prepare and chair various meetings both internally & externally.
  • Assist with on-call on a rota basis.
  • Write concise and evaluative reports.
  • To be responsible for decision making where appropriate.
  • Have full oversight of all admissions & discharges to and from the home.
  • To be involved with all recruitment activities within the home.
  • To ensure all staff are adequately inducted.
  • Monitor the service budget and all financial transactions.
  • To promote the home in a positive way.
