Essential Background:

  • Working with RDBMS PostgreSQL/Oracle for application development, DB placement, design tuning, DDL promotion, and upgrades.
  • Ideally SQL Server in addition to one of the above.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and oversee complex databases.
  • Develop database solutions and analyse structural requirements.
  • Experience in designing conceptual and logical data models.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to pick up new DB challenges.
  • Demonstrable exposure to NoSQL technologies (Couchbase, Cassandra).
  • Work in Agile environments (Jira, Rally, Kanban, Confluence).
  • DevOps skills (GIT, Liquibase); Cloud exposure (Ansible, Terraform) is a bonus.
  • Ability to think outside the box and not depend on runbooks.
  • Team player.
  • May be required to work outside normal working hours if needed.
