Are you prepared to lead compliance at the highest level? As YouGov’s Senior Compliance Manager , you will be entrusted with delivering exceptional compliance management across our global operations. This role is perfect for someone with robust senior compliance management experience, a passion for data ethics, and prior exposure to ESG initiatives and reporting.
This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week in the office. We support your work-life balance with a mix of in-office collaboration and home-based productivity.
Regrettably, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship, so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Risk Management
- Support the Head of Compliance & ESG on crisis management procedures, testing and training
- Lead the annual risk review process and managing the corporate risk register
- Advise on potential governance and compliance risks and impacts
- Internal Controls Monitoring and Enforcement
- Identify areas of inefficiency and create new processes to resolve them
- Support with ethical considerations in respect of surveys
- Support on maintenance of standards certifications, such as ISO 27001
- Investigate and respond to alleged violations of our compliance policies
- Lead the design and implementation of Compliance function related training and support with training programmes for the wider Governance department
- Support the business continuity planning and develop new compliance policies and delivering training to the business
- Manage submissions to the Ethics Committee
- Be the Compliance advisor to the Data Privacy & Security Committee and other such committees
- Manage the whistleblowing procedure
- Working with Third Parties
- Management and enforcement of the group delegated authority rules
- Oversight of the Company’s supplier approval process as required
- Reporting
- Oversight of compliance content on corporate website and Intranet
- Support with the production of board and management reports on compliance, risk management and ESG activities and metrics
- ESG
- Support with the oversight of the Company’s ESG initiatives as and when required
- Insurance
- Oversight of the Group’s global insurance programme and relationship with brokers as and when required
- Line Management
- Deputise for the Head of Compliance & ESG as and when required
- Line manager of the Compliance resource
These are the essential you will need to get an interview:
- 3-5 years of experience working in compliance or related areas
- 2-3 years of experience leading a compliance team and developing compliance programmes
- Strong knowledge of standards, laws and regulations relevant to YouGov as a global business
- Proficiency in Excel with strong numerical and analytical abilities, as the role involves extensive data analysis
- ICA or a similar qualification is essential

- Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations
- Familiarity with market research standards and guidance
- Experience in delivering compliance-related training
- Professional certification in compliance
- Experience in managing a global insurance programme
- Familiarity with ESG regulations and standards
- Experience of working in a listed company environment
