A prestigious education institution in the Surbiton area is currently looking for a talented Marketing Manager and Communications Manager to join the team on a temporary or contract basis. Our client is seeking a creative, analytical team leader and team player who brings experience working in digital communications, ideally in higher or secondary education.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the marketing strategy across the establishment including a multi-channel communications plan and parent engagement programmes to support the establishment’s strategic plan.
- Lead and motivate colleagues within the Communications and Marketing team.
- Support the Events strategy for the school, and work closely with the Marketing, Admissions and Communications team to plan creative and engaging experiences for prospective families and stakeholders, including open days, scholarship events, taster events and assessment days.
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Communications and Marketing Manager or similar role ideally within a higher education or secondary school establishment.
- Proven skills in implementing innovative and effective digital strategies and has an understanding of online user experience and digital best practices.
- Possess knowledge of content management and learning information management systems and understands how they integrate with websites, apps and other digital media.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High degree of integrity, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Pro-active with people management skills and experience.
- Good IT skills with knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, database skills.
- Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and WordPress is desirable.
- Experience of using other web editing tools, CRM and email marketing platforms, and SEO management.
- Experience of working in a higher education or secondary school establishment.
- A current portable enhanced DBS is highly desirable. An enhanced DBS check will be required to work in this role for candidates who do not hold a current and portable DBS.
