Our client is an independent global infrastructure Private Equity investment manager, focusing on investments in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The company funds have a proven track record and currently the firm manages over $40 billion in assets under management. Due to the substantial growth and increasing complexity, a need has arisen for an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the accounts payable processes and support the financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Efficiently process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving any payment issues promptly.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
- Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and support the implementation of process improvements.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing processes and provide necessary documentation for audits.
- Communication: Collaborate with internal departments and external entities, such as vendors and financial institutions, to resolve accounts payable issues.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in financial process and system projects or initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience
- Degree or professional qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred but not essential.
- Minimum two to three years' experience in a hands-on accounts payable processing role.
- Experience within a similar financial services sector would be desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
