Contract Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

Gap Technical is proud to be representing a leading National FMCG business in their search for a contract Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a factory near Sleaford, Lincolnshire on a 6 month contract.
Performance Objectives
- Support the FMCG production process by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and proactively addressing recurring machinery issues.
- React efficiently to equipment breakdowns and ensure full attention is given to the designated production area.
- Conduct effective fault finding, using historical machine data and documentation to guide repairs.
- Ensuring that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
- Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department.
Person Specification
- The successful candidate will ideally of completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship
- A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing will be a distinct advantage however not a prerequisite.
- You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organise efficiently.
