Our client, an established global private equity firm based in central London, is looking for a Finance / Portfolio Manager to join the team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a newly created role which is broad and varied and involves working with numerous stakeholders. Starting in the next few weeks, this is a fantastic temp to perm opportunity.
The duties and responsibilities for this Finance / Portfolio Manager role include but are not limited to:
- Assistance with the onboarding of new investments and resolution of post-deal issues.
- Assist on deal related activities (due diligence, funds flow, KYC, analysis).
- Review of monthly management packs and liquidity models and assessing funding needs.
- Ad hoc analysis of Portfolio company financial information.
- Development and management of an internal audit programme for the Portfolio Companies.
- Assist with internal reporting processes, and assisting with internal, quarterly reporting to various stakeholders.
- Establishment and management of UK portfolio holding companies (including development and maintenance of substance requirements, taxation compliance).
- Lead UK statutory reporting obligations, including preparing statutory accounts, liaising and coordinating with annual audit processes, developing portfolio-wide accounting solutions, and coordinating statutory books in conjunction with various legal firms.
- Support the Finance Director and Fund Operations team with ad hoc special projects.
- Assist Investment, Strategic Operations, Investor Relations, and Compliance teams, among others, as required.
The skills and experience required for this Finance / Portfolio Manager role include but are not limited to:
- Qualified Accountant (ideally Big 4 audit trained) with 5+ years relevant post-qualified experience.
- Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP.
- Experience within the leisure / hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Ability to work with limited oversight and across different time zones with other members of the team.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively through written and oral communication with internal teams, and service providers.
- Advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Motivated work ethic and desire to expand one’s knowledge, impact, and role.
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
