ROLE SUMMARY:
Wetherby School Kensington provides gold-standard private education for boys aged 4 to 8. As part of London\โs most exclusive pre-prep, we help boys unlock their potential through a world-class early education program, fostering growth and exploration.

Located in Kensington and Chelsea, our school features purpose-built facilities across 5 storeys, providing an ideal setting for early childhood education.
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Art to join us from May 2025 on a 12-month maternity cover. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, inclusive art lessons tailored to all children.
Applicants should have excellent art teaching skills and enthusiasm for education. A recognized teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; art graduates or passionate individuals are encouraged to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver inspiring lessons aligned with the curriculum and assessment standards.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing targeted feedback to support development.
- Create a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and willing to take risks.
- Collaborate with colleagues and share best practices.
- Contribute to the co-curricular program to enrich the educational experience.
- Maintain open communication with parents to support student progress.
- Oversee the Art department, ensuring high standards and curriculum innovation.
- Lead the departmentโs strategic direction, manage resources, and align with school goals.
