GSL Education London Branch is looking for an Admissions Officer to join a co-educational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. If you are an enthusiastic Admissions Officer this is your chance to join a friendly and supportive school community.
Admissions Officer Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire admissions process from initial enquiry to pupil enrolment.
- Liaise with parents regarding admissions, school placements, and transition processes.
- Organise and coordinate school tours, parent meetings, and selection tests.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil admissions and data in the school’s systems.
- Ensure compliance with the school’s admissions policy and local authority guidelines.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, SENDCO, and local authority on admissions-related matters.
- Oversee mid-year transfers and ensure a smooth transition for new pupils.
- Manage and respond to admissions-related emails and phone enquiries.
- Support the organisation of transition days and admissions events.
- Ensure all pupil files and data are recorded and stored securely.
- Analyse admissions data and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Act as the Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Admissions Officer Requirements:
- Experience in school admissions or a similar administrative role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and analyse admissions data.
- Knowledge of school admissions policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with SIMS or similar school database systems (preferred).
- A valid DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
