Our client is looking for a proactive shift engineering team leader to oversee mill operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with full site responsibility during shifts on a 4 on, 4 off pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).
Key duties include:
- Executing production plans
- Maintaining Health & Safety compliance (ISO45001)
- Optimizing machine performance
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Equipment maintenance
- Attendance management
- Customer complaint resolution
- Accident investigations
- Team training while ensuring high hygiene standards

The Candidate:
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment

- Health & Safety qualifications, such as IOSH Managing Safely, FLT Licence & First Aid certification (3-day course) preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a forward-thinking and proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging at all levels
- Engineering background or time-served engineer qualification is an advantage
