About the Opportunity: The DMSB Executive Education department is a team of 5 people who have been delivering 5-6 custom executive education programs for corporate clients totaling about $1.5-2M in revenue. This position is to be the operational leader of the department, responsible for supervising all staff and for growing the offerings of the department to reach more markets and customers. Key to growth will be the addition of open enrollment programs to the portfolio. The larger vision is to positively impact more executives worldwide than any other organization. Revenue growth targets are $3M in one year, $5M in two years, $10M in five years, and $20M in ten years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of program managers/coordinators assigned to particular accounts or projects.
- Coordinates recruiting, finding and hiring talent, both Staff and Faculty.
- Builds the team - Training and developing the talent to reach their potential so that they can train and develop others, both Staff and Faculty.
- Creates the infrastructure needed to support a growing and expanding team, market presence etc.
- Proactively leads key account planning processes that develop mutual program performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and multi-year periods.
- Creates the collaborative, cross-functional relationships across campus required to ensure high quality, efficient client service.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates client needs on an ongoing basis, and initiates solution development efforts that best address client needs.
- Oversees all aspects of delivery of client services - schedules, milestones, faculty coordination, communications with program participants, faculty and guest speakers, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Operational excellence and financial acumen.
- Unshakeable integrity, Leadership and Communications Skills, Strategic thinking, ability to work with and influence top leaders in organizations.
- 8-10 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Significant, complex, long-term program planning, program leadership and client relationship experience resulting in the achievement of financial objectives and high satisfaction among all stakeholders.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with high level global corporate constituencies, faculty and senior level university administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and problem-solve creatively.
- High level of interpersonal communication skills including political acumen and social perceptiveness.
- Ability to balance and manage the needs of multiple constituencies, manage to deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles and practices for executive education or related professional services.
- Ability to manage and grow a program support team.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as well as travel domestically and internationally.
