Are you ready to lead and shape the future of service delivery in the transport sector? GTS Transportation is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager to drive operational excellence and ensure a seamless, customer-focused rail service.

What You’ll Do:

  • As a pivotal member of our management team, you will oversee and enhance our timetable delivery, ensuring resourcing and service interventions provide the highest level of customer experience.
  • You will also take the lead in authorising and controlling all train movements at our client’s Depots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dynamic leadership during peak service times, ensuring safe and effective decisions that enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Network Rail's operational and maintenance teams.
  • Manage day-to-day operations within the Service Delivery Centre and Depots, ensuring efficient resource management and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and motivate a high-performing Service Delivery team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead the oversight and implementation of service delivery change programs, driving operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement standardised processes and checklists that support operational success.
  • Deputise for the Head of Service Delivery when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven leadership and service delivery experience, with a strong focus on performance and team management.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of railway operations, safety standards, and service management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of depot operations and rolling stock management (desirable).
  • Competency in IT systems and adaptable to new technologies.
  • Assessor qualifications (desirable).
