My client, a leading luxury retail specialist, are looking for a Retail Accountant to join them for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will focus on several key projects within the team with a main focus on balance sheet reconciliations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert in Retail and E-commerce accounting
- Manage account reconciliations (e.g., trade debtors, VAT, deposits)
- Ensure accurate month-end closing per Group policy
- Drive improvements in Accounts Receivable management and cash/commission reconciliations
- Support the retail brand and its bespoke ERP system
- Ensure audit compliance and assist in stock counts and training
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance teams
- Advanced Excel and SAP skills; ERP system proficiency
- Ability to handle audits and ensure compliance
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
Package
- £45,000 - £50,000 as a basic salary
