Are you a Driver Operations Team Manager on top of your game? Warburtons is looking for a dedicated Driver Operations Team Manager to join our Wednesbury site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of Class 2 and Class 1 drivers, ensuring customer requirements are met in full and on time, while maintaining strict transport compliance.
As a key member of our team, you will work alongside fellow Team Managers and report to the Transport Manager. You will manage and develop your team, making sure they are motivated and engaged, and that performance levels are consistently high.
Essential Ingredients- Previous experience as a Team Manager with experience in managing teams, coaching, and mentoring (including conducting 1-2-1’s)
- Monitoring and investigating team KPI’s, with a focus on leading teams through continuous improvement and training
- In-depth knowledge of Tachograph and WTD regulations
- Proficiency in SAP, specifically the ERP module
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety Legislation/BRC standards
- Experience with Driver telematics systems
- Manage a team of Primary and Secondary Drivers, taking responsibility for all people management activities throughout the employee lifecycle to drive improved performance and build a positive, motivated team where everyone is engaged.
- Maintain compliance with transport operator and driver regulations (and Warburtons Distribution Manual) to ensure continued legal transport operation.
- Manage a team of Secondary Distribution Drivers to ensure agreed performance levels are achieved while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Work on a 5 over 7 rota, starting between 0330 and 0600, around 42 hours per week.

We bake and distribute over 2 million loaves of bread each week and are committed to our high standards of Health, Safety and sustainability and have our own mini power generating plant that provides both combined heat and power to the bakery. Wednesbury is the Home of the Tiger Bloomer.
