As the School Admin, your role will be essential to the day-to-day operation of the school. You will ensure communication flows effectively between staff, pupils, parents, and external partners, contributing significantly to the school's smooth functioning and positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school’s telephone and email systems, ensuring enquiries are handled promptly.
- Maintain accurate student records using SIMS (School Information Management System).
- Support attendance monitoring and liaise with staff to ensure data accuracy.
- Handle general clerical tasks, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Coordinate school communications such as newsletters, letters to parents, and notices.
- Provide administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff as required.
Job Requirements of the School Admin:
- Previous experience as a School Administrator or in a similar administrative role within an educational setting.
- Proficiency in school management software such as SIMS (School Information Management System) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, time management, and IT skills.
- A professional, calm, and friendly manner when working under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a busy office team.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
