Swanstaff Ltd are recruiting Recycling Operatives to work for our client based in Trowbridge. The successful recycling operative has the responsibility to deliver a high standard of customer service to the public by actively encouraging reuse and recycling as well as assisting the public with their waste disposal. Due to the location of the site, being able to drive and owning your own vehicle may be necessary for some applicants. Job Details: * To operate the Recycling Centre safely and efficiently * Directing and assisting members of the public to correctly dispose waste * Identifying and intercepting reusable items in conjunction with our charity partners * Actively encouraging users of the sites to reuse before recycling * Ensure that site daily inspections are undertaken and recorded and safety checks for equipment * Ensure that all chargeable waste is identified * Prevent any unauthorised person from sorting, disturbing, interfering or removing any waste from the Recycling Centre Role Requirements: * Recycling and or in a waste and/or waste experience desirable, but not essential * PPE must be worn correctly at all times * Courteous towards customers, clients and colleagues * Good timekeeper * Must be able to work alone or as a team. * Sites open 7 days a week: Required to work any 5 out of 7 days * Paid weekly * (Apply online only) Winter hours and (Apply online only) Summer hours Benefits: * Opportunity for the right candidate to be taken on permanent * Training provided where needed * Weekly Pay – every Friday * PAYE – No umbrella companies * Accrued holiday pay How to Apply: If you are interested in this role, please apply online now, or if you require more information, contact Clemivine from our Industrial Division
