JOBPURPOSE:
TheVendor Manager is responsible for managing relationships withexternal IT suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery ofhigh-quality products and services that align with theorganisation’s strategic goals. This role involves overseeing theprocurement process, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplierperformance to ensure compliance with service level agreements(SLAs) and quality standards. The IT Supplier Manager willcollaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify needs,facilitate effective communication, and drive continuousimprovement in supplier performance. By fostering strongpartnerships with suppliers and ensuring that IT services meetoperational requirements, the IT Supplier Manager will contributeto the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation’sIT operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develop and maintain strongrelationships with IT suppliers, ensuring effective communicationand collaboration to meet organisationalneeds.

Negotiate contractsand service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to ensurefavourable terms and conditions, and monitor compliance withcontractual obligations.

Track and evaluate supplier performance againstestablished metrics and SLAs, addressing any issues ornon-compliance in a timely manner.

Manage the end-to-end procurement process for ITproducts and services, including needs assessment, supplierselection, and purchase order management.

Identify and mitigate risks associated withsupplier relationships and procurement processes, ensuring thatcontingency plans are in place.

Monitor and control IT supplier-relatedexpenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings andefficiency improvements.

Work closely with internal teams to understandtheir IT needs, ensuring that supplier offerings align withbusiness requirements.

Conduct market research to identify potentialsuppliers and evaluate their capabilities, ensuring alignment withthe organisation’s strategic objectives.

Drive initiatives for continuous improvement insupplier performance and procurement processes, seekingopportunities to enhance service delivery andefficiency.

Prepare regularreports on supplier performance, procurement activities, and markettrends, providing insights to inform decision-making at theexecutive level.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience insupplier/vendor management, procurement, or contract managementwithin the IT sector.
