Civil Design Engineer - Water

Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their dynamic teams in Manchester. and Leeds Key Responsibilities: Lead and contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and drainage systems Develop concept, outline, and detailed designs in accordance with client specifications and industry regulations Carry out hydraulic analysis, earthworks design, and structural assessments related to water projects Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including MEICA, process, and geotechnical engineers Ensure designs meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards Assist in mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project requirements Key Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) is desirable Experience in civil design for water infrastructure projects Experience in pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and reinforced concrete structures Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and/or InfoWorks ICM Familiarity with UK water industry standards (Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, and Eurocodes) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects If you are an experienced Civil Design Engineer looking for a new contract opportunity in the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
