Your new company: Our client is a landmark Australian name used and enjoyed by many. Rich in profit, and aggressively looking to the future, they have a huge amount of money to spend over the next 5 years+ to upgrade and modify their existing assets. Use your construction experience to transition to the client side. With a full list of construction fitout-related projects ready to go, with a global name, you will oversee a real range of projects from upgrades to new build fitouts.
Your new role: 2 roles available - Senior Planning Manager (10–15 years experience) and Planning Manager (4-10 years experience). Do you have experience in hotels, retail, hospitality and building-related construction works? Fit-out, refurb-type works would be ideal. Being the client-side planning manager / construction planner, you will be responsible for the delivery of seamless and transparent projects & development solutions, supporting all business units during concept design, documentation, tendering and delivery of an agreed development solution. This position is responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of approved development & infrastructure capital projects across their assets. This role will work with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that the as-delivered projects are entirely consistent with the approved brief and within the agreed timeframe, cost and quality parameters. You will essentially oversee the planning from the builder side. Develop programmes from first principle and ensure they are fully integrated and logic linked across the project lifecycle from project approval to construction handover. This role could suit a Construction Planning expert relocating on a working holiday visa and open to trialling before sponsorship.
What you’ll need to succeed: Very competent in Primavera 6; A construction-related Degree (Engineering, Construction Management, etc.); 4 -15 + years in the construction market / planning field; Strong and stable background working from a Tier 1 or 2 builder on building related projects; MUST HAVE experience of delivering building / fitout projects $1m- $50m, 3–8 month timeframes; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders; Experience ideally working in live environments; Australia work rights - Sponsorship is potentially available for the right person following trial via a working holiday! Longevity with your employers. This is not a civil infrastructure project position!
