Product Development Chemist Cheshire Industrial Wastewater Sector £30k – £45k wide bracket depending on experience plus company package Overview Delve Recruitment are currently working with an innovative and well-established business within the industrial wastewater sector, who supply globally, that are looking to add a Product Development Chemist to the team. The Role Reporting directly into the R&D Manager, this is a brand new role to the structure due to company and project expansion. They have a new electro-chemical reactor in situ that needs designing, developing and improving the process parameters. This is a hands on role where you will be conducting experiments at R&D/pilot stage – very much getting involved on the shop floor. You will be working closely with the rest of the R&D team as well as the Process Engineers, Senior Chemists and Material Scientist so lots of collaboration. Qualifications and Skills Chemistry degree is required, any specialism within Materials Science or Organic Chemistry would be favourable Any Six Sigma / CI knowledge would be useful At least a few years experience of project based NPI product development work designing and developing a chemical reactor or similar system (distillation, filtration etc) Experience with electro-chemical reactors would be a bonus Must be flexible and adaptable to change – this is a growing SME size business Ability to work independently and within wider teams Passion about the science/engineering sector in general, the type that stays up to date with new advances in wastewater treatment Strong attention to detail Good with excel for data analysis Clear communication across the team and wider company What you will get in return As a Product Development Chemist, you will be part of a thriving company who have recently moved into a larger premises due to expansion with lots more ambition to keep growing.
