So there has never been a more exciting time to join the team. *Shift Pattern = Continental shift Pattern 2 days – 2 Nights ( 4 on 4 off) The Role Responsibilities: Take ownership of the maintenance for the plant, so that it is safe and has the maximum possible uptime for production. Identify, develop and implement improvements to the equipment and ways of working to help deliver ever-improving standards. React promptly to unplanned downtime activities, work with operators to get lines back to safe operation as quickly as possible and undertake regular analysis to resolve root cause of top 3 downtime factors Identify key operators and assist in developing their skills and understanding of the equipment so that they can assist with routine maintenance tasks; recognising this creates more time for the engineering team to deliver further improvements. Own, or actively participate in, site-wide activities that deliver improvements and do the best for The people in the business and our neighbours Minimising the impact of business activities on the planet Driving business performance towards the best better for you snack business The Person: Passion and energy for the best possible results, day after day. You have a relentless drive to deliver improvements and maintaining the plant to great standards. You are a team player, care about producing brilliant food and get the best out of the equipment under your responsibility. You have a creative approach to overcoming problems and patience to help others in the team resolve issues. A great day is knowing that the plant is safe, plans for future changes and improvements are shared and, you have all achieved your goals for the day and are on track to achieve your longer-term objectives. Knowledge Requirements: Safety – a great understanding of how to keep people and products safe. A level of formal safety training is preferred (IOSH or similar) Multiskilled Skilled – with an electrical bias Engineer – Competent and qualified to work on mechanical and electrical problems, ideally with an interest or competence with PLC interrogation and problem-solving Continuous Improvement – great understanding of how engineers play an active and key role in good manufacturing practice works and able to put theory into practice; own CI projects, take pride in delivery improvements quickly, strive for better every day – not perfect tomorrow Communication – the ability to convey messages quickly and simply to the relevant audience.
