A thriving secondary school in Barking and Dagenham, operating across multiple sites, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – The Role

  • Work closely with SEN and lower-ability pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both 1:1 and small group support

  • Assist subject teachers in lesson preparation, delivery, and maintaining a positive classroom environment

  • Encourage and motivate students, building confidence and helping them engage with learning

  • Support the academic and emotional development of students, promoting independence and resilience

  • Bring creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom – making learning accessible and enjoyable for all pupils

Graduate Teaching Assistant – Requirements

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification)

  • Prior experience working or volunteering with children or young people (school, youth work, tutoring, mentoring etc.)
