Job Overview: Are you passionate about renewable energy and experienced in solar PV systems? We’re looking for skilled Solar Engineers to help drive the growth of solar energy projects across the UK. As a Solar Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Join us in shaping the future of renewable energy and advance your career in a growing industry.
General Responsibilities:
- System Design: Conduct feasibility studies, optimise performance, and develop solar PV systems.
- Installation & Commissioning: Ensure seamless integration into electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose faults, analyse performance, and implement solutions.
- Compliance: Adhere to MCS standards, BS 7671 (18th Edition), and HSE guidelines.
- Project Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections, testing, and performance monitoring.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years in solar PV design, installation, or maintenance (residential & commercial experience is a plus).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, or a related field). Relevant industry experience may also be considered.
- Certifications: MCS accreditation, City & Guilds Level 3 in Solar PV Installation, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and/or other relevant qualifications.
- Software Proficiency: PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar tools.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with UK energy regulations, grid standards, and incentives.
- Skills: Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
