We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide essential support to our clients who are navigating complex issues. As a bank support worker, you will work flexible hours, covering shifts when needed at different locations around the Cheshire West region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to children, young people, and adults with mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, and those experiencing homelessness.
  • Help clients develop life skills, promote independence, and facilitate access to necessary services, such as healthcare and housing.
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the well-being of all clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, healthcare staff, and housing teams, to deliver holistic care.
  • Monitor and record the progress of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and adults in mental health, substance misuse, or homelessness services.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights across different locations in the Cheshire West region.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
