Working within a small team, the Commodity Manager (Direct Materials) will have strategic procurement responsibility for a range of Direct commodities, remit to include:

Developing commodity strategy – focusing upon Quality, Cost, Delivery

Commodity spend and supply analysis

New supplier sourcing, contract negotiations

Supplier performance management and review meetings

The successful Commodity Manager will have/be:

Directs’ commodity management/procurement experience from within Manufacturing/Engineering background

Commodity management experience/contract management experience

Strong negotiation skills, confident to manage stakeholders both internally and externally

Experienced in cost analysis, commercially astute

Dynamic problem solver
