Our client is looking for a number of drivers mates to join their busy waste removal company with an immediate start. Shifts are available from Monday 31st March.
Our client is a large, national waste removal company with depots across the UK. This position will be based at their Birmingham depot located at Nobel Way B6 7EU.
The role involves working alongside a driver to make waste collections at domestic premises, which may include collecting removed kitchen items, bedroom furniture, or sofas. Occasionally, there may be a need to visit restaurants whose bins have not been emptied, requiring the loading of waste into the van for transport to the depot. These types of collections are less common but should be considered by applicants.
Shifts are booked on a daily basis, and our client contacts us each day to inform us of staffing needs for the following day. We strive to accommodate workers' preferences for days and shifts, but some flexibility is required. Due to the nature of these shifts, full-time work is not guaranteed each week; however, each shift lasts 12 hours, allowing working hours to accumulate quickly.
Pay is weekly at £12.21 per hour. This role is ideal for someone who is between jobs, not seeking set full-time hours, or a university student with fixed days off from studies.
Applicants must have safety boots, but all other PPE will be provided. No experience is necessary, but applicants should possess a good attitude, be comfortable with physical work, and be willing to occasionally 'get their hands dirty.'
