About the Role: As a Finance Business Partner/Finance Manager, you will play a significant role in shaping the financial future of the business. Your leadership will help drive improvements in processes, controls, and overall financial strategy. You will partner with key stakeholders, guiding and mentoring your team to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and review the team's monthly management accounts preparation.
- Provide clear, concise, and insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Act as the first point of contact for any issues, proposals, or client-related matters.
- Deliver regular cashflow forecasts and coordinate the annual budgeting process.
- Produce quarterly board reports and present finance sections at board meetings.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT returns.
- Collaborate with the Audit Manager on statutory accounts preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the preparation of consolidated annual accounts and tackle complex accounting issues.
- Drive continuous improvement and process automation within the team.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Project manage the onboarding process for new business and clients.
- Be involved in ad-hoc projects that drive the business forward.
What You will Need to Succeed:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with 8+ years' post qualified experience.
- Proven ability to navigate complex technical accounting issues (IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101, UK GAAP).
- Exceptional commercial acumen and experience producing insightful management information and dashboards.
- Advanced Excel and systems skills with a focus on automation and process improvement.
- Formidable team leadership experience - managing a mix of qualified and part qualified accountants.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and build relationships across all levels of the business.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing multiple entities and clients.
